No, Donald Trump Did Not Allude to Assassinating Hillary Clinton in Wilmington (REACTION)

Presidential Candidate Donald Trump has been accused by the media of threatening fellow candidate Hillary Clinton with violence at a campaign rally in Wilmington, North Carolina on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016. The media has accused the remark he made as a “threat of assassination” against the former First Lady and Secretary of State. As per usual with controversial Trump statements, much drama and outrage followed. Many pundits and popular news websites are condemning him for his actions, saying that he crossed the line. Reality is, what he said can mean different things, depend upon how you want to interpret it.

First of all, the context of the speech is important. Much of the news clips on the dinner-time shows Tuesday did not show any of the context, they just keyed in on the specific wording that is drawing outrage. That particular statement in question is as follows:

—“By the way, and if she gets to pick, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”—

Now, that could be taken two ways. The first way is, you take it as he is saying that Second Amendment people would use that particular right (the right to bear arms) to arm themselves against Hillary to prevent her from becoming the President to stop her from picking the Supreme Court justices. However, once you hear the context of the full speech, you may think of another way, if you haven’t already.

The context of that particular part of the speech was talking about how Hillary Clinton would be a bad choice for President because she would essentially take away the Second Amendment due to selecting liberal Supreme Court justices. He was talking about how the Second Amendment is very important to people to be able to protect themselves. So, he could simply be saying that a vote for her is a vote to repeal the Second Amendment, and Second Amendment people could galvanize themselves to vote to prevent that from happening, not hurt her.

There isn’t much Trump can do to prevent from being the bad guy. If he gets spotted eating KFC rather than Popeye’s, or whatever other brand-du-jour that people would like for him to consume, it’s a problem. Nearly anything he does or says will be taken to the negative right away.

That’s not the case for Hillary Clinton, who had a recent campaign rally in Kissimmee Florida, where Seddique Mateen, the father of Orlando club shooter Omar Mateen, was present and sitting right over her shoulder in clear view of the cameras present at the event. Mateen said he was invited by the Democratic Party, and that he is a member, although the method in which he was invited hasn’t been validated, he was there nonetheless. No one is saying she should disavow him like people said Trump should disavow the support of former Klansman David Duke.

Double standards and lies are pervasive in the liberal media to protect the Golden Goose in Hillary Clinton. As these instances of hypocrisy become more obvious and egregious, however, more people will begin to wake up.
