ABL LIVE: Oprah’s Coming, Bannon Out, Ginuwine’s #MeToo Moment, Google Sued – Call in (434) 658-1220

Stephen Bannon has stepped down as executive chairman of the pro-Trump, populist website Breitbart News, less than a week after a dramatic falling out with President Trump. Breitbart announced the news Tuesday afternoon on its website, saying it would work together with Bannon on “a smooth and orderly transition.” “I’m proud of what the Breitbart team has accomplished in so short a period of time in building out a world-class news platform,” Bannon said in a statement on the site.

“Pony” singer Ginuwine refuses to kiss a transgender woman by the name of India Willoughby during a live taping of Celebrity Big Brother. The situation began with a discussion of whether or not men in the house would date a man who now identifies as a woman. Ginuwine said that he would not. India’s response is that it shouldn’t matter if a “woman” was trans or not, that they are a woman at the end of the day. She then tried to kiss Ginuwine, and he rejected the advance. India says that proves her point… and some people on social media agreed.

Oprah’s longtime boyfriend Stedman Graham said in response to Sunday night’s Golden Globe push for an Oprah Winfrey 2020 presidential run that if called, the talk show host will serve. “It’s up to the people,” Graham told The Los Angeles Times. “She would absolutely do it.” Graham’s comment only reinforced growing rumors that Winfrey is seriously considering a presidential bid.

James Damore, the onetime Google employee who was fired after he wrote a memo criticizing the firm for pushing diversity, has filed a class action lawsuit against the tech giant. “Damore, Gudeman, and other class members were ostracized, belittled, and punished for their heterodox political views, and for the added sin of their birth circumstances of being Caucasians and/or males,” the lawsuit alleged. “This is the essence of discrimination—Google formed opinions about and then treated Plaintiffs not based on their individual merits, but rather on their membership in groups with assumed characteristics.”
